Hanna Shimbori
Vice President
Hanna was born in September, 2008 in Boston, Massachusetts. She started playing the piano at 6 years old, first studying the instrument at Brookline Music School, then continuing with piano teacher Augustine Gonzalez. Hanna also plays the viola which she started at the age of 9 when being introduced to the instrument in conservatory class. Hanna currently studies with teacher John Ferguson, and plays at her school's Advanced Chamber Orchestra, and New England Conservatory's Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Hanna participated in the 2024 MICLOT International Competition, as well as the 2025 Massachusetts Music Teachers Association Judged Festival in which she placed second. She hopes to use her skills in music to inspire and uplift others, and plans to contribute to the community through musical performances.
Outside of music, Hanna also enjoys swimming competitively on the Brookline High School Warriors Swim Team, and the Brookline Dolphins Swim Team. She also enjoys coaching and lifeguarding at the town pool.
